In my last post I shared my recommendations on things to do during the day in Magaluf. Now it’s time to discuss things to do during the night as I show you why it’s one of the party islands. If you’re looking for some recommendations for sober nights out, then I’m afraid this isn’t the post for you. Every suggestion I have includes copious amounts of alcohol because that’s just the person I am when in Magaluf.
PIRATES RELOADED
Pirates Reloaded is an extremely unique adult only night out that you do not want to miss. It’s so good that I’ve seen it every time I’m in Magaluf and every year it continues to level up. It’s so much more than a night out combining DJ sets, acrobatics, a fully stocked bar and VIP after party. Pirates Reloaded is filled with innuendos, rude behaviour and no-holds-barred dance routines from a cast of world-class acrobats.
There are four seating packages so you can choose your selection according to your budget. They start from the Main Deck; standard tickets with your seat no further than 15m from the stage. Ending with the VVIP Experience which includes the best tables in the building, immediate entrance, VIP waiter service, exclusive bar a bottle of 70cl spirit for the group.
Prepare to get extremely drunk and get involved in this interactive show which always has the audience up singing and dancing. Every year they manage to play around with the storyline and routines, and it’s as enjoyable as the last. If you are looking for a calmer experience, they also host Pirates Adventure, a family dinner show during the day. The storyline and experience is adapted to entertain all ages so it’s more age appropriate.
WASHING MACHINE AND FOAM PARTIES
One of my favourite nights out in Magaluf is the insanely fun Washing Machine Party at BCM. A combination of a foam party and a water party, essentially, you’re covered in foam and then it’s washed off. Over. And. Over. Again! It costs £30 which includes unlimited drinks from 11pm right through until 6am, a t-shirt and a souvenir. The souvenirs change and in previous years has included a towel, a Hawaiian outfit and a naughty shaped cup.
One year Charli and I went to a Washing Machine Party and she fell over outside of BCM. This stranger was trying to help her up whilst I was being the supportive friend in absolute hysterics. We weren’t allowed in the cab because we were literally soaked so we went back to some random lad’s hotel. We used their towels and hairdryers, gave them false hope, and then took ourselves home.
If you just want a standard foam party experience, then you need to be at Carwash Club on a Monday. The event takes place from 11pm until 6am with the foam starting around 2am. The club is one of the MCP Clubs, so you actually have entry to six different clubs for the night too. It costs £30 and you get that much credit loaded onto a Smart Wristband to be used on drinks. So, get drunk, dance the night away and at 2am get ready for the foam cannons to start up.
UV PAINT PARTY AND FULL MOON PARTY
Another themed night you can book is the UV Paint Party which also takes place at Carwash Club. Taking place every Wednesday and Sunday, the dress code is the whiter better in preparation for a UV explosion. Be prepared to be covered in paint and see most people take half their clothes off. There are shower stations available on the way out, but you’ll find most people wandering the streets still covered.
Finally, I’d suggest booking the Full Moon Party at either Coco Bongos or Ocean Beach. At Coco Bongos the dress code is casual, but glitter, sparkles and neon paint is always recommended. There is a Thailand inspired fire show including fire breathing and acrobatics from the Sergio brothers from Koh Phangnan, Thailand. There’s also Stilt Walkers, Go-Go Dancers, UV Glow Sticks, Ice Luges, Thailand Full Moon Party Buckets and more.
The Full Moon Party at Ocean Beach takes place on Thursday nights and includes a bar crawl. Starting at Ocean Beach Club at 9pm you move onto Mambos Terrace at 10:30pm before finishing at Mambos at midnight. It costs £20 for entrance to Ocean Beach and Mambos Terrace and £35 for the after party including drinks credit. This event also includes light and laser shows, fire breathers, angle grinders, stilt walkers and more.
MAGALUF CLUB PASS
The Magaluf Club Pass is a ticket that gains you entry to five different nightclubs in one night. The MCP nightclubs include Banana’s, Boomerang, Tokio Joe’s, Carwash, Honeys Lap Dance, as well as Icon Pre-Club Bar. It costs £30 for one night or you can buy a seven-day pass that costs £180 making one night free. You can buy the ticket at any of the club doors and you’ll get a hand stamp covering entry to all.
And you’ll be happy to know that the MCP pass includes entry to any of the themed nights happening. You don’t have to buy an additional ticket for the Carwash Foam Party if your ticket covers that day. The seven-day pass includes £210 of pre-loaded credit to spend in the nightclubs and can be topped up if needed. Although you can’t use it on lap dances at Honey, just drinks, snacks and memorabilia.
Bananas has the biggest dance floor, podium dancers and resident acts include Cascada, Basshunter, Darren Styles and more. It’s next door to Carwash who are famous for their themed nights including the Foam Party and UV Paint Party. Boomerang are known for celebrity appearances and host great workers parties, as well as having a VIP area. Tokio Joes are the ultimate destination for Hip Hop and RnB fans and Honeys Lap Dance speaks for itself.
MAGALUF STRIP
As well as the clubs on the strips there are a number of bars with plenty of great drinks offers. One of my favourite bars is Panama Jack where you can get unlimited drinks for €20. You’ll also find BCM on the strip, a nightclub that is not included within the MCP deal. It used to be listed as the 5th best club in the world although it recently closed for refurbishment.
Now reopened it has a capacity for 4,000 people although this of course is in terms of pre covid times. BCM has had some incredible DJ and celebrity performances over the years including Martin Garrix, Avicii, Example and more. Any ticket you purchase for BCM comes with unlimited drinks for the entirety of the night, between 11pm and 6am. My top recommendation would definitely be to attend the Washing Machine Party if you get the chance.
