During lockdown I put on weight and I’ve been working on accepting my curves and embracing body confidence. I’ve found that one thing that particularly helps me with embracing my size is finding the right lingerie. I’ve seen and like the quote “Never underestimate the power of good lingerie on a bad day”. And I’d like to bolster that with never underestimate the confidence boost good lingerie can have on you. And a brand that have me feeling sensational in their lingerie is Tutti Rouge.

Tutti Rouge launched in 2011, and were the first Fuller Bust specialist lingerie brand, selling sizes 30-48 and D-G cups. All their bras and knickers are designed and created in the UK by their team of ‘Lingerista’s’. I was introduced to the brand through a review opportunity that I saw on Twitter. I was asked to pick some favourites from their range and the brand would gift me some items.

In order to choose I needed to first work out what size bra I needed. I’ve not been measured in a while so using some online advice, I had a crack at it at home. I worked out that I am now a 40E and have been incorrectly wearing a 36/38DD. Looking at the items in stock in my size I chose a few items from their range I liked. And I left it up to the brand to make the final decision on what to send and waited excitedly.

MEETING HALLIE AND ESTHA

I was sent the *Hallie set which was a bralette and a matching pair of knickers in black. Tutti Rouge describe Hallie as the designed to be seen, go-to support bralette and it came in size 40DD/E/F. The bralette has a racer back, a large under-band for added support and had a lace and mesh design. The knickers have a deep waist band with scalloped edging and their signature Rougette lace.

I was additionally sent the *Estha body in a 2XL, an 18, with the Hallie knickers being the same size. The body has a lace and mesh design and a thong back which means there’s no VPL whilst wearing it. It has cut out details on both the front and back and looks effortlessly sexy before it’s even on. It would wear as both underwear and outerwear paired with jeans or leggings.

LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO WEAR MEDIOCRE LINGERIE

From the moment I tried on both the Hallie set and the Estha body I was obsessed and felt incredible. I found myself taking the time to just check myself in the mirror because I looked and felt so good. Lingerie that makes you happy and good isn’t meant to be saved for special occasions. I have worn these to work, to do the food shop or even for just lazing around the house.

Sexy lingerie doesn’t have to be worn for someone else’s benefit and definitely shouldn’t be saved for later. Why wouldn’t you want to celebrate all that is wonderful about your body by slipping into something you feel sexy in. Even if you’re the only one who’s going to see it for the time being that’s the ultimate self-care moment. You’ll stand taller knowing that you are rocking a piece that makes you feel so confident.

We all have different sides to our personality and lingerie is a good way to further express yourself. Finding the right style, quality and design of lingerie will make you feel good. I found my Tutti Rouge items to be of great quality and the feel of the material was so comfortable. Despite having bigger boobs, I feel supported by the bralette and body despite them not having an underwire.

In fact, I was so happy with my items from Tutti Rouge that I’ve since ordered three more sets. And I have a never ending wishlist of bodies and more sets I plan to buy in the future.
