Nars Cosmetics are a brand that I had never tried as I found them a bit too expensive and was more than happy sticking with my Urban Decay and Bare Minerals favourites. That was until I got an email from my head office stating that as a special offer all staff members would receive a discount on Nars, so of course I just had to place an order.

I had heard a lot of good things about their foundation but as I was ordering online and don’t have a store nearby to check my colour I thought it was best to steer clear and go with my top make up love; lipstick. There is an amazing range of colours in the Nars range and if you are having trouble finding a particular colour from your usual brand I would definitely recommend them for their diversity. I ended up settling on two lipsticks, in a cool pink and a crimson red, and a lip pencil in a vivid pink.
Anyone who has been on a night out with me knows that I absolutely adore a red lip and smoky eye combo so my favourite of the three was definitely Deadly Catch. Both of the lipsticks are both smooth and creamy, and don’t dry out your lips, and I’d say have a wear time of around 4-5 hours before you need to top up. The Audacious lipsticks come in a range of 40 colours, and the Hardwired Lipsticks are actually from the Holiday 2014 Collection and are stated as limited edition so I don’t know how long they will be around for.
I personally use the Lip Pencil as an all over lip stain as it has real staying power and as a general preference I don’t use a lip pencil for it’s official purpose. It’s a perfect shade coming into the Spring/Summer season as it’s so bright and fun. Although I’m a big red lip fan for a night out I do love a bright pink lipstick with just a splash of mascara for a day time look in Spring and Summer, against a backdrop of glorious sunshine… A girl can dream can’t she. Bring on Summer, or at least roll on June when I go on holiday and can really get some use out of the pinks.

I would love to be able to use lip pencils, but I always mess them up somehow. Love the colour though!
I have not used Nars before, I do love the colours of these. I do like a decent lipstick will have to give these a try when I next buy a lipstick x
I never wear lip colour as I always feel it makes me look like a clown! But I should really try again, as I’m sure I’m the only one who thinks so. These look like lovely colours.
I used to avoid lipsticks completely because I thought I had the clown look down with them, but my friend made me wear it on holiday and it not only looked great but I pulled as well so lipstick because a winner ha

Those lip colours look lovely. I’ve used NARS bronzers but haven’t tried any of their lipsticks yet.

I love that hot pink/fuchsia colour it is gorgeous, Nars is a brand I have not tried for that same reason because of its price but I hope it gets discounted where I am soon!

I’m the same, I tend to stay away because they are quite expensive but you can’t go wrong if you get a good discount! I love the shades, perfect for summer! Let’s hope we get some sun!

I loveee NARS lipsticks and lip pencils, they have the best texture and they stay on for ages too!

I’m only just getting in lipstick and experimenting with different shades. That pink shade is bold and different to anything I already own so I’d love to try it!

I don’t own any Nars but these lippies look great but a little bit pricey. Bold lips are very in at the moment1

I love NARS packaging and my favourite red lip product I own is their lip pencil in Cruella!
