The Geek: The Gallagher Girls Series

The best thing about having a Kindle? Not having to wait for a new book to be delivered! My Mum got me a Kindle for my birthday and my sister got me an Amazon gift card so that I could fill it up with books and one that caught my eye was I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have To Kill You by writer Ally Carter who I had never heard of before but the book description intrigued me and I decided to give it a go.
Gallagher Academy might claim to be a school for geniuses – but it’s really a school for spies. Cammie Morgan is fluent in fourteen languages and capable of killing a man in seven different ways (three of which involve a piece of uncooked spaghetti). But the one thing the Gallagher Academy hasn’t prepared her for is what to do when she falls for an ordinary boy who thinks she’s an ordinary girl.
The worst thing I could have done was decide to read that book before anything else downloaded on the Kindle. Because it was bad? No! Because it was so amazing that I ended up buying the rest of the series before I could even glance at another book. I don’t want to give away any spoilers as I thought the book was so fantastic that I would definitely recommend to anyone on the look out for a new book, but I will say that throughout every book you will become hooked by ongoing mysteries and constant twists and turns, you will fall in love with all the diverse characters and spend half the time trying to work out your own conclusions to unanswered questions.

There are six books in the series, and I will warn you now, if you get as into the books as I did then you will be absolutely gutted when you finish reading the fifth book as the sixth is yet to be written. I was seriously distraught when I finished the fifth book Out Of Sight, Out Of Time as I know that currently Ally is writing the third book of her other series Heist Society so the Gallagher girls series has taken a back seat until that book is complete.
I am happy to say that lately I have lucked out with a lot of the books I have read, from either scouring through the Top Free Books or the recommendations page where I keep being shown similar authors to the ones I’ve recently downloaded. There are so many that I would recommend but I would have to say that out of all of them, and I have read around 50 books in the six months I’ve had my Kindle, this series still makes it way into my Top 5 Book Series and Ally Carter makes it into my Top 5 Authors.

Have you read any of the Gallagher Girls Series? Who is your favourite author right now?
