Last weekend I attended the #nyLDNmeet arranged by the lovely Lauren,Tamsyn and Amy in Bitter Sweet, a cute little side street cocktail bar in Soho. Although I did end up being a typical London tourist, says the girl born and bred here… Sat nav open, staring at buildings trying to navigate the cobbles, finding other confused, lovely bloggers along the way; Charlotte and Eilish, before finding the entrance to this hidden gem.
I got so caught up being a sociable blogger, look at her thinking she’s Miss Popular, and meeting new people that I didn’t take as many photos as I would have liked nor did I get to see every brand showcasing themselves. I did manage to get my hair styled by the lovely team from Fordham Soho and have a good chat with Jenny from My Protein UK who then pretty much became my other half for the rest of the event. I love a Geordie accent, and as I’ve joined the gym this year she taught me a lot about protein that I wouldn’t have found out and I even have a few protein shakes to try out which I’ll be posting about at a future date.
After buying a few raffle tickets for the prize draw that was being held, which ended up raising £175 for the amazing charity Look Good Feel Better, I joined the queue to see a presentation on MooGoo Skin Care who are an Australian skin care brand that are due to launch a brand new natural make up line this year in the UK, Dusty Girls. Please note, the skin care line only has one product that does not contain nuts, so are to be avoided if you have an allergy. I am most excited to get my hands on the Kabuki Brush which is unbelievably soft and the Natural Mineral Blush in Pink Ladies which gives you a subtle flush of pink with a touch of sparkle to it.
