Afternoon Tea Bus Tour

This week, until the 17th August, the nation is celebrating National Afternoon Tea Week

Launched in April this year, The BB Bakery have a fun alternative to the regular sit down afternoon tea in the form of their Afternoon Tea Tour Bus. Take in the city’s sights whilst sitting down to a selection of afternoon teas classics like scones, sandwiches and mini quiches. Relax and sip your cup of tea whilst your uniformed driver takes you round The London Eye, Big Ben, The Royal Albert Hall and many more classic London landmarks.

Tours take place daily at 12.30 and 15.00, and cost £45 for an adult and £36 for a child, aged between 6 and 11. The tour takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (depending on traffic). You can also hire the lower or upper deck of the bus, or the entire bus, for your own private party. So if you were looking for something different for say your hen party, graduation celebration, corporate event etc. this could be a unique experience for all attending. More information on exclusive hire of the bus can be found under the private hire section of their website.

To reserve your seat on the bus, email them your preferred date and time, number of people attending and seating preference – top or bottom deck, any special dietary requirements and contact details to

If the bus tour does not strike your fancy they also have a bakery located in Covent Garden, where you can have afternoon tea, relax with a coffee and cupcake or grab a bite to eat from their lunch menu, and they also offer catering services for events.

Oh what a fab idea. I love afternoon tea, but have to say I've never had one on a bus – yet!
