Harveys Furniture and Bensons For Beds are both expanding their product lines for 2018 with an extensive line of beds and bedroom furniture, and a hybrid of products for every lounge, dining or living space. Harveys are adding design led products from modern luxurious modern sofas and sleek dining sets, to bright and bold statements, and Bensons new products are inspired by trend led designs using eclectic colours, 100% recycled materials and bold, bespoke statement pieces.
The Lexham Dining Table with it’s white concrete top and brushed grey wooden legs has a sophisticated yet rustic look and feel to it, and has a number of matching occasional pieces including the Dining Chairs, a coffee table, TV unit and more, available from late Summer. I really loved the unique look and style of them as they’re so eye catching, and how the simplicity of them means you can buy accessories and wallpaper in any colour of style, like a geometric print to create the Summer High Contrast Geo Trend.
The White Occasional Chairs are from the new Geneva Collection, available from early Autumn, which includes an electric three seater and two seater incliner alongside the occasional chairs. Made from 100% leather and available in six different colours including blue, white, black, scarlet, silver and gainesboro, the Geneva pieces have a lovely feel to them and are really comfortable to relax on.
The Monochrome trend has always been popular amongst fashion but can be translated into furnishings too, and alongside warm wooden tables or a simplistic table in grey tones can create a lovely cooling environment. Made from 100% leather the Sandra Sofa and Occasional Chairs, which are available from early Autumn, have trendy black feet and a functional ratchet headrest mixing style with comfort.
The Linc Sofa is aimed at those looking for a compact living solution, offering a gorgeous living room set with the matching Loveseat. Complete with matching accessories, this British made, hand crafted collection boasts affordable price points for any home. The Love Seat is spacious enough for you to share with your partner, as the name entails, but personally I was lusting over the idea of curling up on the Love Seat alone, with an array of snacks and my laptop ready to have a cosy little blog evening.
Bensons are introducing their brand new contemporary and urban Brooklyn Bed, a New York loft apartment inspired bed that looks striking against a black wall for a modern retro look. With a sprung slatted base that gives extra comfort the solid ash painted bed has a funky headboard and footboard and will be available from the end of August. Paired with a bedside table combining a mix of solid and veneered wood finish offers a sleek and classy design and gives a classic elegance to a bedroom.
The grey bed, photographed above, is from the Bespoke Collection where you are able to truly personalise every element of your bed and sleep space. Giving you the option of 18 different colours and fabrics, they offer a vast range of customisable beds including but not limited to the mattress fillings, storage solutions, headboards and base. I’m actually in love with the bespoke bed they had on show for the preview, the colour is gorgeous and would suit most colour palettes and the style of headboard really suits the bed. Along with the storage unit at the bed the entire set really drew me in and I could see myself curled up in that bed, and I loved the surrounding furniture from the Ventura set which as well as the chest of drawers comes as a wardrobe and is available from next month.
Exclusive to Bensons is the iGel range which uses temperature regulating technology that warms you up when you get too cold, and cools you down when you get too hot, leaving you to sleep soundly through the night. I am in love with the sound of this as there’s nothing worse than not being able to sleep because you are overheating in the night or don’t have enough covers on you to keep warm on a winters night. The iGel Support Beads concentrate together in the mattress under pressure to provide targeted relief where your body needs it most. Not only can you get an iGel mattress but if like me you have recently purchased a new mattress but need this technology in your life then you can get it in the form of a mattress protector.
For the more eco-conscious the Jackson Bedframe is the one for you, made from 100% recycled pine it offers comfort and a rustic style solution. Made exclusively from Bensons by a UK designer it comes complete with a matching bedside table for the ultimate wabi-sabi look, and is available from September. When it comes to picking out a mattress it can be a struggle with all the options available but in Bensons stores you can visit the Bensons Comfort Station Adaptive which uses unique body-tracking technology to identify how your body is affected by the way you sleep and will show you where you need support using the unique pressure sensing surface. The advanced technology helps you chose the right comfort by rating beds from 1 to 5, with 5 being the most firm, and then staff members can advise you on your personal profile what mattress would be perfect for you.
