I’ve attending a number of these events since 2014 and it’s been amazing to watch Scarlett grow and succeed more and more as a blogger and an events planner.Bloggers Ball Lipivir Glitter Lips Bloggers Ball Selfie Glam Glitz Gloss Bloggers Ball Tanya Charli Abi Bloggers Ball Johnny Loves Rosie London Bag Bloggers Ball Candy Kittens Sweets Bloggers Ball Style Sportif Bloggers Ball Shades of Black and White Hoxton Bloggers Ball Smooth Skin Summer Collection Bloggers Ball STM Goods Grace Clutch SanDisk iXpand Drive Bloggers Ball Bloggers Ball Good4U Super BitesThe Bloggers Ball was hosted at Trading House on Gresham House, an elegant bar although I was slightly scared of all the stuffed animals dotted around the room.I attended with friends and fellow bloggers Charli and Abi, and as the dress code was Glam I went all and curled my hair, done a smoky eye and wore a jumpsuit and heels.

We arrived to flowing cocktails served by the very attractive bar men. I’m not even going to lie, I was perving like no ones business. At one point the girls were talking to me and I was so busy eye flirting with one I missed the whole conversation.

The event was sponsored by SmoothSkin, the creators of the fastest at home IPL device, Lipivir, the lip gel product that can reduce the frequency of cold sores, and SanDisk, the global leaders in Flash Storage Solutions. I had met Lipivir at a previous event Scarlett had held but this time round they had brought Glitter Lips with them, and as I’m not called Glam Glitz Gloss for nothing we made that our first stop.

I had not met either of the other sponsors but I was really excited to be introduced to both of them. SmoothSkin showed us their Bare Summer Collection and talked us through the differences between IPL and Laser. Im so excited to say that after the event I was contacted by them and asked to review their IPL device. I am yet to try it as I got sun burnt recently and the peeling was so bad that I’ve had to wait, but it’s finally clearing up and I’ll be getting that review up once I’ve given it a good go. I will say now though they have such a beautiful range of devices.

Next stop was Sandisk to learn about their new iXpand Drive. This little device plugs into your phone and gives you more memory by freeing up your phone. It automatically backs up your photos, allows you to watch videos on the move and comes in 5 different storage sizes.

One of the brands I enjoyed meeting the most was STM Goods, a company who will be celebrating their 20th birthday next year. They sell laptop bags, packs, fitted cases and other accessories to protect your tech, make carrying it easier, all whilst looking great with bold, bright and unique designs. Jessica who was there on behalf of them for the day was absolutely lovely and so informative about the brand. I was in love with their Grace Deluxe Laptop Sleeve in Dark Purple, keep an eye out on the blog and Instagram for a picture and review of that.

There were so many great brands at the festival and if you search the hashtag #BloggersBalls on Twitter you’ll see other reviews but these were my highlights from the day. Thank you to all the brands for taking time out of your busy schedules to meet us bloggers, to talk me through your company and showing me your products.

Follow Scarlett’s events page SL Digital & Events for updates on upcoming events; you’ll meet some great brands, make new friends, get a goody bag and have lovely memories and photos to look back on.

Kiss Nails and Lashes Summer Launch http://glamglitzgloss.co.uk/event/kiss-nails-and-lashes-summer-launch/ http://glamglitzgloss.co.uk/event/kiss-nails-and-lashes-summer-launch/#comments Mon, 26 Jun 2017 17:00:02 +0000 http://glamglitzgloss.co.uk/?p=2795 Kiss Lashes Pixie LottAt the stunning Haymarket Hotel I attended the Kiss Nails and Lashes Event, with Pixie Lott their current brand ambassador. Unfortunately due to another event I had to leave before Pixie came on but I did get to see some of her performance on the lovely Sarah‘s snapchat story.

Usually, and I’m sure I’m not alone in this, when a brand launches a new collection I have a few outright favourites and a few that I look at and think who can I give these to because I’ll never use them. Well this launch was very different because I actually love every single set of nails and lashes they’ve released this time round.

In the final photo posted about you can see that I managed to narrow it down to my top 3 nail choices and my favourite lashes but this was no easy feat. I can’t wait to make my way through the range and showcase the beautiful colours and patterns Kiss have clearly put so much time and effort into creating.

On the night of the event I went with Charli and we got to have our nails done by two lovely girls who were so easy to talk to and done a great job on our nails where I opted for a French manicure style with a glitter tip. We then made our way to the lash station and I had a lightweight set of lashes applied, I’m not one for full volume lashes as unless I’m going out out they just don’t suit me.

After running into Sarah at the lash station, who I haven’t seen in forever, we went over to the Glitter Girls to add a little extra sparkle to the party. I’d love to show you a picture of this but as we were in a rush I ended up getting it on the wrong side of my face and could not get a good shot. Do you feel me when I say I have a certain angle that works for me in picture and an angle that makes me look like an escaped convict, it’s not pretty! To get a better insight into the various stations and the event have a look at this Alex Silver PR post on the event, they got some fabulous photos of Pixie.

The new ranges launches nationwide today in Superdrug, with both retailing at £7.99. There really is something for everyone in this range, there’s enough styles to cater for different ages and taste. Keep an eye out on my Instagram for pictures of me wearing the different lines and there might be a chance for you to win a set or two in my giveaway I’m planning for August.

Karma Moments by JewelleryBox http://glamglitzgloss.co.uk/fashion/karma-moments/ http://glamglitzgloss.co.uk/fashion/karma-moments/#comments Sun, 23 Oct 2016 18:00:06 +0000 http://glamglitzgloss.co.uk/?p=1706 Karma Moments JewelleryBox

Last month I got the chance to attend the JewelleryBox Karma Moments launch, which gave me the chance to see their new collection, choose my favourite necklace from the ten available and personally make it, whilst trying a cocktail or two from The Fine Cocktail Company.

Karma Moments JewelleryBox Balloons Karma Moments JewelleryBox SweetsFine Cocktails Karma Moments Drinks Karma Moments JewelleryBox Necklace Karma Moments JewelleryBox Personalised Engraved NecklaceI have met JewelleryBox a number of times now and for me they have definitely solidified themselves as an amazing jewellery company that I would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere new to shop. The Karma Moments collection is perfect in the run up to Christmas if you are on the look out for a present for someone, especially with the additional option of engraving on some of the necklaces.

Ten different necklaces already sounds like a wide range, but on top of that you get to have fun picking colours, style, birthstones, initials, giving you the chance to really personalise it into a lifelong keepsake. The idea that links the collection together is “capture a special moment” with the circle representing the capturing of a moment, and the charm inside becoming a token representation of the event.

I chose to make the Twisted Heart Pendant, which was one of the engrave-able necklaces, as I felt the heart in the middle captured my love for my blog and I had my blog name engraved inside the circle. It’s so cute and as soon as I saw the finished product once it was put together I fell in love. I had a nose at some of the other bloggers finished products and they were all so lovely, and so unique in their choices.

I always enjoy seeing JewelleryBox as they always bring together such a lovely bunch of bloggers, that include some of my friends. I got to my amazing Ana who I met at the station before the event and we made our way together, it’s always so nice to see her as she always makes me laugh and we have such fun together. The lovely Scarlett who is usually hosting events we attend had helped put the event together but it was much more relaxed so we got to have a good catch up with her, and I got to see the lovely Jasmine as well. Can’t wait to see them all again, soon please ladies!

Now anyone who knows me knows I am a drinker and I was so pleased to get to try The Fine Cocktail Company, brand new ready to be enjoyed cocktails based on natural ingredients. They have three flavours; Raspberry, Lemongrass & Agave, which has Vodka in it, Mango, Mint & Agave, which has Whiskey in it, and Lychee, Elderflower & Ginger, which has Gin in it. I had the Vodka, Raspberry, Lemongrass & Agave one, and Gemma from JewelleryBox topped it off with Prosecco and let me tell you it was amazing! I would definitely recommend trying them.

I’m so pleased to add another beautiful piece to my JewelleryBox collection, they have such a great range and you should definitely have a look at the Karma Moments Collection and the rest of their range if you’ve not yet had a chance.

#BloggersFestival by Scarlett London http://glamglitzgloss.co.uk/event/bloggersfestival-by-scarlett-london/ http://glamglitzgloss.co.uk/event/bloggersfestival-by-scarlett-london/#comments Thu, 08 Sep 2016 21:05:08 +0000 http://glamglitzgloss.co.uk/?p=1663 Jewellery Box #BloggersFestival

Saturday 3 September saw the third #BloggersFestival take place, run by the lovely Scarlett London. I have been attending Scarlett’s events for years now so I’m sure you’ve seen me gush about them, and her, every few months but she truly does throw an amazing event, I’m always on such a high after them! This year more than ever after having the best time with fellow bloggers Ana and Cat, with whom we made our own hashtag #twoportugueseandaginger, and Abi a new blogger that I have personally known for about 10 years and I am planning on moving in with next year.

Upon entering you make your way downstairs and sign in at the #BloggersFestival “front desk” opposite a floor to ceiling flower wall which people were queuing at to get their picture, ultimate Instagram moment right there. You can then pick up a drink from the waiters and make yourself up a little bag of pick n mix to eat as you make your way round.

Upon entering the Whitehall Suite where the main action was happening the brands were spaced out along the room, alongside a Pop Up photo shoot that JewelleryBox were hosting, and a large projector that all hashtagged posts were flashing up on. We may have had a few moments where we screeched in excitement when our tweets and photos appeared, especially from Cat who was most excited.

We got to meet so many amazing brands, some I had met before so it was lovely to have a little catch up, and a number of new brands I was excited to see their products. It’s always a delight to see Jewellery Box who have the most amazing dainty jewellery, and I got to take home a lovely rose gold ring, bracelet and necklace which you can see on my Instagram. I was beyond excited to see Beverly Hills Formula as I love their black toothpaste, which everyone seemed to either be scared of the prospect of or had never heard of, and I got to see their new gold toothpaste which I was sent away with to try out.

We won rose gold power banks and leads from PNY after getting ghetto in photos with their products. Abi got excited to meet one of her favourite baking brands Opies, I’m going to be so fat when we live together! Ana was on form naming people from the brands, and it turned out she kept naming people after their own brothers without knowing them, the boys from BodyChef and Varta were amongst these.

I got a lovely little card case from David Hampton who had a gorgeous Leather Executive Briefcase that I just fell in love with instantly, anyone want to treat me? I got to see My 7th Heaven who’s face masks I am in love with and have been for years so it was lovely to see them and have a look at the new bits they have coming out, which they gave me to review so keep an eye out for that. Well keep an eye out for many reviews as we got a very generous goodie bag upon leaving filled with lots of lovely goodies to try at home.

I’m really excited for you all to read the reviews I will be posting on GoSend and Friction Free Shaving, alongside the product reviews from the goodie bags. GoSend let you shop US retailers and save money on shipping, and Friction Free Shaving are a monthly razor subscription brand, that have the best remix of Craig Davids 7 Days song in their boxes.

I could sit here and ramble for hours about how much I loved the event, how great all the brands were, the lovely products, but the main things I want to say are some thank yous. Thank you so much to Scarlett for throwing an amazing event AGAIN, and for inviting me to the first one way back, I couldn’t possibly miss one of your events now, they are a part of my life and I love them! Thank you for bringing Ana and Cat into my life because I wouldn’t know them if it wasn’t for your events, and thank you to the pair of them for just being such wonderful, lovely, beautiful ladies that I am so lucky to call my friends. Thank you to the brands for taking the time to showcase their products for me and for putting up with the insanity of meeting #twoportugueseandaginger and for letting me take home your products and try them out. It genuinely was one of my favourite events I’ve attended, keep an eye on the SL Events page for upcoming events or you can follow her Twitter page for updates.
