I have decided that I am going to fully commit to losing weight and not just do a bit of exercise here and there, or having a random bit of fruit. Nothing will change if I continue the way I have been going so far so this is me telling the world I WILL LOSE WEIGHT and I will really work towards my goal weight.
Telling people your weight always seems like a taboo subject for girls but if you don’t admit what your weight is and work out what you want to work towards then it can make the whole journey pointless. I am currently 11st 2lbs, which for my height puts my in the overweight section of the BMI chart, and my goal weight is 9 1/2 stone or less, which will put me in the healthy BMI section.
You already know that I have my Air Walker, which to be honest I haven’t used as much as I could have, but I will be increasing the time I use it and yesterday I started Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred. It is broken into three different levels, and you move your way up once you feel like you are ready. I am on Level 1 and it is killer, but you can definitely see how it works in the long run. I look forward to the day it comes easy to me and I feel myself getting fitter.
I ordered myself some Hand Weights from Gorilla Sports, on Amazon, for the 30 Day Shred as you need them for some of the exercises. I bought the 0.5kg weights and once I have worked up my strength I may order the next size up.
I have decided that I am going to do SlimFast to aid my weight loss as I know I like them from previous use. For anyone not familiar, the SlimFast 3-2-1 plan consists of 3 snacks, 2 bars or shakes and 1 600 calorie balanced meal. The 3 snacks you can have are the SlimFast snacks, fruit, veg, nuts and seeds and the snacks help keep your metabolism going and gives you energy to get through the day.
You can choose which meals you wish to take a break from, and personally I will be only having dinner and replacing breakfast and lunch with the 2 shakes. I found myself not making it through a whole bar when I tried before so I will be sticking with the shakes. I put through a massive order on Superdrug of SlimFast and I got 2 tins of the Powder Shakes, in Strawberry and Banana, as it’s more cost effective, takes up less space and I don’t have to stock up as often because between them I will get 24 meals. I also bought 48 of the Chocolate Caramel Treat snack bars and 48 BBQ Flavour Tortillas snack bags, and I saved £15 on the order as it is currently 3 for 2 on SlimFast at Superdrug.
On Amazon I bought a PhD Nutrition Mixball Shaker, for £4.95, to mix my shakes in as it has measurements on the side so it will make it easy for me. The wire ball in the picture is called a BlenderBall and you drop it in with your ingredients and shake, and the speed is all up to you; a gentle swirl if you are just mixing, or a fast shake to mix anything that could end up in lumps.
So the only thing I’ll need to buy is milk for the shakes and fruit that I want to snack on, I think I will save myself a lot of money in the long run from not eating all the junk food. I might even work out the exact amount I save and treat myself with it. I feel really prepared for this and I am willing to put the time and effort in.
