The Disney Tag

No matter how old I get I will always have a special love for Disney. I’m more of an old school Disney lover, with my favourite after all these years still being classics like Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, so when I saw The Disney Tag floating around cyber space I had to take part.

Favourite Disney Film
As I said above, The Little Mermaid has always and will always be my favourite Disney film. When I was younger my Mum said I used to scream at the TV every time “Don’t give her your voice Ariel, don’t do it” like it would change the outcome somehow. If you don’t know what part that was in relation to I can never speak to you again!
Favourite Disney Character
“Do you want to stay for dinner?” “Do you want to stay forever” – Mulan’s Grandma. I didn’t want to go with a classic or cliche answer or someone from my favourite film so I thought who makes me laugh and I watched Mulan recently and I love when she says that at the end. I also like Merida’s younger brothers from Brave, ginger power and all that!
Favourite Disney Princess
I love pretty much love all of the princesses, except for Snow White. I have just always found her a bit pathetic and drippy, and to be fair Aurora is asleep for half of her movie so there’s not a lot to love there either. My top 5 would be Ariel, Merida, Belle, Anna and Jasmine.
Favourite Disney Sidekick
Tinkerbell. She’s a freaking fairy for god sake, she has fairy dust, she gets to live in Neverland and can fly. What’s not to love. I also love the Gargoyles in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, especially the little fat one who falls in love with Esmerelda’s goat.
Favourite Disney Song
My top 3 are Part Of Your World from The Little Mermaid (but the reprise version), A Whole New World from Aladdin, and Go The Distance from Hercules.
Which Disney Character would be your best friend
Meg from Hercules has a perfect resting bitch face, doesn’t take no crap and is kind of a bad ass, I feel like we’d get on well.
Who would be your Disney pet
Look at that angry face! That is the face perfected by one of my best friends, you guys know her as put together blogger Charli B whereas for me she’s the person I’ll sit on the floor with with a pile of Chinese takeaway, a bottle of prosecco whilst we gossip and wreck people for the lols.
Have you been to Disneyland
Yes. I’m lucky enough to have been to two of the Disneylands, my Mum took me to America and we went to Disneyland, and my Dad took me and my cousins to Disneyland Paris.
Who is your Disney Alter Ego

Definitely feel I could channel a bit of Merida from Brave. Not only do I already have the hair going on but I would also be up there with her fighting for control of my own destiny, no one should take your choices away from you. I also happen to be quite unruly, impulsive and loud as she comes across.
Favourite Disney Villain

Prince Hans, just for the fact that it was a complete twist I did not see coming at all and how beautiful was Anna’s punch.
Do you collect anything Disney
When I was younger I would collect the Disney stamps and I still have the book that you could buy to store them in at the my Dads. I had both classic Mickey stamps and ones from all of the Disney films that were out at the time.
What Disney film would you star in
The live-action film of Cinderella because when I watched it I wanted nothing more than to be a part of it. Whilst Cinderella is dancing with the Prince I was literally staring at the screen in wonderment, I wanted to be at the ball myself, it just felt magical. After I was just sighing lovingly whilst saying “I want to go to a ball” and just felt all warm and fuzzy inside. Or obviously I’d be in The Little Mermaid.
How old were you when you watched your first Disney film
I don’t actually remember because it was quite a while ago but I can imagine it was around the age of 3 or 4. Who actually knows the exact age they were, unless it was recent? I don’t even remember what the first one I saw was.
What do you love about Disney
It takes you to a world where happily ever after is a possibility and solves every problem, although this clearly messes you up for life in the real world, but whilst watching that film you can disappear from the world and pretend everything is warm and fuzzy.
Favourite Disney Couple

My favourite film, my favourite couple, my favourite Princess, really Ariel will forever hold my heart with Disney favourites. Ariel saved a human knowing her father would be unhappy, Eric took on a lunatic giant sea witch, Eric took in Ariel when she was alone on the beach, Ariel became a human for him, I just love them and when she says “Goodbye Daddy” I tear up a little almost every time.

sometimes I wish I had seen all the classic Disney movies that everyone seem to know about. the only one I've seen in full is Aladdin. everything else I've seen in pieces or just knew the gist of the story.
