Pizza Express made us up our own special offer for the lunch and Soeurs De Luxe
treated everyone to little chocolate treats and chocolate covered strawberries, how cute are they! There was about 20 of us spread across two tables so I didn’t get the chance to meet everyone but we have a Twitter group that we all catch up in still now. I was sat with Amanda
, it was a lovely lunch and I even managed to squeeze in a cheeky prosecco to help cure the hangover I may have earned from the night before.
Bloggers Festival was held at St James Conrad Hotel
which luckily was just a 5 minute walk from Pizza Express, maybe a minute or two more as we stopped to take some windy selfies on the way, has to be done doesn’t it. The Conrad is a beautiful hotel and if you ever have the money and the chance to stay there I would definitely recommend it.
I have been lucky enough to attend all of Scarlett’s events, and she manages to outdo herself every time. We were greeted with drinks and a leaflet that laid out the floor plan for the event along with details on all the brand, although I must admit I spent the first 10 minutes on the phone to Ana
who I hadn’t seen in forever and was struggling to find due to our conflicting views of what the front meant.
There was about two dozen brands for us to meet, some I had heard of and some I hadn’t. I was very excited to meet Jewellery Box
; I felt drawn to them as they hail from Bermondsey like me, and they gave me an adorable and delicate bracelet and earrings set. I loved the idea of Yoogaia
who are an interactive yoga and pilates website for those of us who can’t fit in a class but still want to have a go, and even better being it’s in the comfort of your own home.
One brand I fell completely head over heels in love with was Nanshy
who do the most beautiful synthetic make up brushes. I was tackled at their stand by the amazing Laura
, my favourite East End market trader :p who introduced me to the lovely Emily
, before we went and caught up with Cloud Nine
who I won straighteners from at one of Scarlett’s previous events, they are amazing and kick GHD’s butt!
I was lucky enough to win a facial towel from Bravura London
, who take a ‘problem-solution’ approach to skincare, and a goodie bag from Bonprix
, who are an affordable quality clothing brand, including a wholly hat that will be perfect for the incoming Winter season.
I got to meet one of the PRs for Bare Minerals, who I have previously work with as a blogger, and who I’ve just started working with as my full time job so that was a bit of a surreal moment. There were so many different brands at the event, along with a do-it-yourself pick and mix station, and we got some to leave with an array of lovely goodies which I will feature in future posts along with more details about some of the brands.
